Dua after Azaan
O Allah, I submit Muhammad,
may Allah bless him and his Household,
to You before mentioning my needs,
and I turn to You in his name;
so, (please) make me of high regard with You
in this world and the Hereafter,
and of those drawn near to You,
and (please) decide, in his name, my prayer to be admitted,
my sin to be forgiven,
and my supplication to be responded.
You are verily the All-forgiving, the All-merciful.
You may then recite the Azan the call to prayer (i.e. adhan).
Before Iqamah do a prostration & in the sitting position, saying the following
O Allah, (please) make my heart dutiful,
my livelihood delightful,
my sustenance profuse,
and make for me at the tomb of Your Messenger,
may Allah bless him and his Household,
an abode and a dwelling.
You may now pray for any thing you wish and beseech Him to grant you whatever you need, because the dua between the adhan and Iqamah will not be rejected.
After the Iqamah, you may say the following:
O Allah, to You have I turned my face,
Your pleasure have I sought,
for Your reward have I desired,
in You do I believe,
and on You do I rely.
O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad,
open the ears of my hearts to remembering You,
make me stand firmly on the religion of You and Your Prophet,
make not my hearts to deviate after You have guided me aright,
and grant me from You mercy.
Surely, You are the most liberal Giver.
