AhadithHadith Number 33

قالَ الإِمامُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ البّاقِرُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ):
إِنَّ كِتابَ اللّهِ أَصْدَقَ الْحَدِيثَ وَ أَحْسَنُ الْقَصَصِ وَ قالَ اللّهُ تَعالـى: ))وِ إِذا قُرِئَ الْقُرآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَ أَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ))

Imam Muhammad ibne ‘Ali al-Baqir (peace be upon him) has said

“Surely the Book of Allah is the most truthful of all narrations, and the best of all stories, and Allah has said: And when the Qur’an is being recited, then listen to it and remain silent so that perhaps mercy may be shown to you.” [Suratul A’raf (7), Verse 204
