Mafatih -Al-Muhaddith al-Faydh and other scholars have It is highly recommended to give charity (sadqa) in this month & to recite this dua 10 times daily during this month of Safar to prevent misfortunes.
يَا شَدِيدَ ٱلْقِوَىٰ وَيَا شَدِيدَ ٱلْمِحَالِ يَا عَزِيزُ يَا عَزِيزُ يَا عَزِيزُ ذَلَّتْ بِعَظَمَتِكَ جَمِيعُ خَلْقِكَ فَاكْفِنِي شَرَّ خَلْقِكَ يَا مُحْسِنُ يَا مُجْمِلُ يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ يَا لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّالِمِينَ فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجّيْنَاهُ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَكَذلِكَ نُنْجِي ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ
