وَذَا ٱلنُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَٰضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَىٰ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ أَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنتَ سُبْحَٰنَكَ إِنِّى كُنتُ مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾
And Yunus, when he went away in wrath, so he thought that We would not straiten him, so he called out among afflictions
There is no god but Thou, glory be to Thee; surely I am of those who make themselves to suffer loss.
اور یونس علیھ السّلامکو یاد کرو کہ جب وہ غصّہ میں آکر چلے اور یہ خیال کیا کہ ہم ان پر روزی تنگ نہ کریں گے اور پھر تاریکیوں میں جاکر آواز دی کہ
پروردگار تیرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے تو پاک و بے نیاز ہے اور میں اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرنے والوں میں سے تھا
Also known as "The Glorious Verse", Prophet Yunus recited this prayer when he found himself in the dark belly of a big fish, which swallowed him alive.
