Ash-Shu'araa: 83

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿٨٣﴾ وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ﴿٨٤﴾ وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿٨٥﴾ وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٨٦﴾ وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ ﴿٨٧﴾ يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾ إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ ﴿٨٩﴾
My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good. And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity . And make me of the heirs of the garden of bliss . And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray; . And disgrace me not on the day when they are raised . The day on which property will not avail, nor sons . Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil).
خدایا مجھے علم و حکمت عطا فرما اور مجھے صالحین کے ساتھ ملحق کردے. اور میرے لئے آئندہ نسلوں میں سچی زبان اور ذکر خیر قرار دے . اور مجھے جنت کے وارثوں میں سے قرار دے . اور میرے مربی کو بخش دے کہ وہ گمراہوں میں سے ہے . اور مجھے اس دن رسوا نہ کرنا جب سب قبروں سے اٹھائے جائیں گے . جس دن مال اور اولاد کوئی کام نہ آئے گا . مگر وہ جو قلب سلیم کے ساتھ اللہ کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہو
Abraham (AS) recited this prayer to invoke Allah to give him authority to guide and lead mankind to the right path of Allah, the only righteous way, and to pass this authority to the pious men among his posterity so that they may occupy a place of honour among those who will inherit the kingdom of paradise on account of their piety and obedience to Allah.
