رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ ﴿٨﴾
Our Lord! make not our hearts to deviate after Thou hast guided us aright, and grant us from Thee mercy; surely Thou art the most liberal Giver.
ان کا کہنا ہے کہ
پروردگار جب تونے ہمیں ہدایت دے دی ہے تو اب ہمارے دلوں میں کجی نہ پیدا ہونے پائے اور ہمیں اپنے پاس سے رحمت عطا فرما کہ تو بہترین عطا کرنے والا ہے
This prayer is a precaution to avoid possible perversion of the mind and the heart after accepting divine guidance. The purpose of our lives in this temporary and transient world is to make preparation for the eternal life of the hereafter.
