Dua of Holy Prophet for 15th Shaban eve15th night of Shaban, known as Laylatul Baraat is the night in which Allah, Most High, decrees everyone’s provisions, including provisions for the Hereafter, ie. of Paradise and HellFire. The Holy Prophet(saws) used to recite during this eve, and its also known as Dua-e-nisf-Shaban
شب برات دعا
اللّهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِك
O Allah, grant us a part of Your fear,
مَا يَحُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَعْصِيَتِكَ،
that acts as a barrier between us and Your disobedience,
وَمِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ رِضْوَانَكَ،
Your obedience, that helps us achieve Your pleasure,
وَمِنَ الْيَقِينِ مَا يَهُونُ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ مُصِيبَاتُ الدُّنْيَا.
the certainty that makes the miseries of the world seem insignificant.
اللّهُمَّ أَمْتِعْنَا بِأَسْمَاعِنَا وَأَبْصَارِنَا وَقُوَّتِنَا
O Allah, make us enjoy, our hearing, our sight, our strength
مَا أَحْيَيْتَنَا وَاجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنَّا،
as long as You Keep us alive
وَاجْعَلْ ثأْرَنَا عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا،
Make us rise against those who oppress us,
وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى مَنْ عَادَانَا،
and help us against those who show animosity to us.
وَلا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبَتَنَا فِي دِينِنَا،
Place not our miseries in our religion,
وَلا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا وَلا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا،
and let not this world be our biggest concern, nor the extent of our knowledge.
وَلا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لا يَرْحَمُنَا،
And do not appoint over us one who has no mercy on us, by your mercy,
بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ.
O Most Merciful of the Merciful
