قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْـَٔلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِى وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ﴿٤٧﴾
He said:
My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from asking Thee that of which I have no knowledge; and if Thou shouldst not forgive me and have mercy on me, I should be of the losers.
نوح نے کہا کہ
خدایا میں اس بات سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں کہ اس چیز کا سوال کروں جس کا علم نہ ہو اور اگر تو مجھے معاف نہ کرے گا اور مجھ پر رحم نہ کرے گا تو میں خسارہ والوں میں ہوجاؤں گا
When Noah (AS) beseeched Allah to save his son, Allah replied to him that his son was a wrongdoer and what Allah knew Noah did not, so he should not have relied upon his ignorance; and Noah (AS) immediately recited this dua’a This incident also clarifies what a prophetic Household means in the Quranic view, and not one is unworthy of being considered among People of the House unless their deeds are in accordance, irrespective of relationships.
